Now if you're anything like me on a video call, your attention is very divided. You're trying to look at people's facial expressions, usually, which you can't quite make out. You're trying to listen to what people are saying, but you're also looking at yourself and making sure you've got no food on your face. And it just doesn't feel like a very natural way to communicate. And it's not.
